Direct Marketing Campaign Manager

Tapestry is a data driven marketing agency providing small to medium sized multi-channel retailers with the tools and strategies to accelerate growth and increase profitability. We help recruit new customers and make customers more loyal through new marketing channels, improved performance of existing channels or both.
 
We are channel and media neutral, everything may be pulled into play to maximise marketing budgets. We optimise across the channels based on data insight; channels such as catalogue, inserts, off the page, email, social media, mobile, display, paid and social search, search engine optimisation, influencers, content, TV, outdoors, door drop, point of sale and more. 

This is a new role within a small, expanding and ambitious agency which will develop from the job description below. This role will grow with the business evolving in two phases – process building and delivery, and, process evolution, team building and delivery. 

This is a delivery role – delivering planning, execution and analysis of multi-channel marketing activities, mostly relating to offline “paper based” marketing. Above all the role demands ambition, and enthusiasm for numbers and an enquiring analytical mentality. As is typical in a start-up environment, a ‘can-do’ mentality is a prerequisite, prioritising quality and delivery together with a willingness to “muck-in”. The pace is challenging. A feature of this role is the meeting of multiple, marketing and production deadlines. 
 

Objectives and Responsibilities:

To assist the campaign team in the management and execution of all client data and marketing deliverables:  

 

  • Organising, planning and executing multi-channel, multi-client campaigns.

  • Grasping the key attributes of the client brands and their strategic and commercial objectives.

  • Demonstrating a firm grasp of direct (online and offline) marketing economics and activities together with our clients’ commercial imperatives.

  • Owning the planning, administration and execution, forecasting, measurement, analysis and interpretation of multiple marketing activities.

  • Presentation of planned campaigns along with expected outcomes.

  • Presentation and explanation of campaign results alongside recommendations for future changes

  • Liaise with internal and external suppliers.

Primary tasks:

  • Day to day planning, scheduling, administration, reporting, and analysis of multi-channel marketing activities.

  • Emphasis on scheduling, management and delivery of offline campaign planning, production, reporting and operations.

  • Writing clear and detailed campaign briefs.

  • Planning and delivery of data and media selections, and campaign operations with client sign off.

  • Participating in the delivery of our marketing intelligence and insight through routine and on-demand analysis and results, both marketing and financial.

  • Document and file campaign collateral, producing analysis reports and KPIs.

 

Relationships:

  • Report to Head of Media.

  • Work with agencies and suppliers.

  • Coordinating closely with client marketing teams and liaising with other client departments and Tapestry departments.

 

 Skills & Experience:

​ Essential

  • Excellent organisation and project management skills; we are looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual capable of prioritising multi-client campaigns to tight deadlines.

  • We are client focused, so this role requires a professional individual with great interpersonal and communications skills (both written and oral).

  • Maturity, reliability and initiative and high standards of professionalism are key qualities.

  • 3-5 years client-side marketing experience in a direct, multi-channel business to consumer environment. Both management and hands-on execution of end to end offline marketing campaigns:

  • Planning – scoping, scheduling, briefing, modelling & forecasting

  • Budget & ROI – plan, cost and measure fully costed ROI and LTV

  • Manage CRM, DM, transactional data and press media

  • Managing print and mailing house suppliers

  • A track record of effective and timely delivery of campaigns

  • Post campaign measurement and analysis

  • Working knowledge and relationship with digital marketing

  • Advanced level Word, Excel and PowerPoint, report writing and ability to present.

  • Performance oriented and results focused. Commercial mind-set.

  • Enquiring and interpretive analytical skills, strong planning abilities, multi-tasking “plate spinner”, total commitment to accuracy. Capable and disciplined autonomous worker. Flexible and willing to muck-in.

This role will be both office and home based - the mix to meet the needs of the business - the majority being office based, currently Shad Thames, London, expected to relocate early in 2020 to South to Central London.

There will be regular UK wide travel to client and colleague meetings and events, with the occasional overnight away necessary for clients in the more difficult to reach parts of the country.
